Update

Good afternoon. It’s Thursday, May 28.

The June 2 primary election is almost here, and we’re putting out this special newsletter to help you get ready with practical voting information, local race coverage and links to results for election night and beyond to follow along once polls close Tuesday.

Inside this edition, you’ll find coverage and editorials of the key contests in Mendocino County, including the supervisor race in Districts 3 and 5, Measure A at Mendocino Lake Community College District, and the congressional race now drawing in inland Mendocino voters after redistricting.

For broader statewide and regional coverage, we’ve included links and maps in partnership with AP for Assembly and Senate races, as well as top ballot contests like the governor’s race and other major statewide races. That way, you can track both the local races that directly affect Mendocino County and the bigger contests shaping California’s policies.

I’m also proud to say we’ve been able to cover almost every local Mendocino County race thoroughly with just a small team here at The Mendocino Voice. We know the big outlets aren't covering Mendocino County. That's why we do what we do. It matters to stay informed, stay engaged and stay connected to what's happening in the community.

Cheers to a civically informed community!
